Study: New antibody helps protect against hepatitis C infection - Related Stories - AABB SmartBrief

"In a U.S. study, a human monoclonal antibody called MBL-HCV1 weakened the hepatitis C virus and prevented it from infecting an animal disease model. The finding may lead to a new treatment for hepatitis C, but further studies are needed to determine the efficacy of the antibody in humans, a researcher said."
