Hepatitis C blood victims get compensation snub - mirror.co.uk

"Thousands of haemophiliacs infected with hepatitis C by the NHS were yesterday refused extra compensation.

Some 4,670 were given contaminated blood in the 1970s and 1980s. More than 1,240 of these also got HIV.

An independent inquiry earlier this year recommended payouts of £750,000 for hepatitis C victims and £88,668 for those with HIV."
